We're excited to announce six new mini puzzles we’ve added to our collection—all hand-illustrated by our co-founder Loni Harris! Allow us to introduce you to the new puzzles by sharing a few behind the scenes tidbits about each design.
From Scratch | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
We have been talking about a cooking themed puzzle for a while so we are happy to at least get one out there as a mini puzzle! Let us know what you think and if you would like to see a 500 or 1000 piece version! We’ve been a long time follower/admirer of the “food focused illustrations” and art featured on the ig/blog "They Draw and Cook” and jumped at the opportunity to make our own food inspired puzzle.
Red, White & Blue | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
Happy 250th America! We are excited to launch an Americana themed puzzle in correlation with the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. We hope you like this one! (Stay tuned for the 1000 and 500 piece versions arriving in time for summer!!). One challenge in designing this was sticking to the red, white and blue color scheme while making sure it’s still sortable and not too difficult as a puzzle. When designing puzzles, we consider how difficult it will be to sort pieces and put together different parts of the puzzle that are similar. Loni does a great job of distinguishing those areas with different shades of the same color as well as patterns and textures that differentiate one object from another.
Butterfly Bouquet | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
Already available and beloved as a 500 piece version, we are excited to introduce the fun-sized mini version! We based this design on our fall-themed Patchwork Pumpkins 1000 piece puzzle. That design was a hit, and we wanted to create a design that is just as fun but will be popular year-round. Plus, Loni says she could draw butterflies all day. This was so fun to design!
Let’s Go Camping | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
Introducing our popular camping puzzle, now in mini form. We’ve taken our mini puzzles camping and put them together on picnic tables, in trailers, or on the flattest rocks we can find. We envision people being able to take this camping puzzle along with them and experiencing the joy of puzzling in the great outdoors.
Loni shares her thoughts about this puzzle design:
We have so many great memories of camping with our grandpa (whose joke our company is named after), so this one is extra special for me – I thought about him a lot when I illustrated it. We would love to see customer photos of people putting this one together at a camp site!
Swiss Summit | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
Our Swiss Summit 500 piece puzzle is Ty’s favorite puzzle design. A year and a half after its initial debut, we’ve made it into a mini! Originally designed for our biggest market of the year — Swiss Days in Midway, Utah — this has been a popular design both at the market and online. Imagine being whisked away to the Swiss Alps for 20-40 minutes as you put together these tiny pieces. What more could you ask for in the middle of a busy day?
One More Chapter | 150 Piece Mini Puzzle
We both love to read and a reading puzzle has been on our list to make for a long time. Thanks for the extra little push by Janssen @everydayreading (instagram) to get this one out there into the world. We now have the full collection of this puzzle available — 1000 piece, 500 piece, and now mini! The perfect gift for book-lovers, or a great tiny book-related break in the middle of your hectic day.
